775 error code, did all the recommended troubleshooting and still 775 code. any other suggestions other than what they propose?

a 775 message means the LNB at the dish is not receiving power. If you have an HR54 or HS17 the power inserter is built in to the DVR. For other boxes using SWM, it's a separate unit. Do you have one?
If so, check the power inserter, make sure it is powered up. Make sure it is connected properly with the cable going from the power passing port to the dish.
What "recommended troubleshooting" did you do?

I have power to everything. The thing that concerns me is that I have Internet, but just no TV. So I believe that the dish is working or is the internet service different from the dish?

Internet is separate from the dish. If you have AT&T Internet, that's provided through your gateway. If another internet provider is used, you'll have a modem/router from that vendor that provides your internet.
