A Screen Saver says "Press any button to dismiss" but no buttons work

When I pause a show, after a period of time a screen saver appears. Most of the time it is an ad and goes away when I push a button. But sometimes (about 20% of the time) it is a screen that says "Push any button to dismiss this screen" but the only button that works is the "Exit" button -- any other button gives a thumping noise. And when the screen saver exits, it exits it out of my recording - it's not a big deal because I can select Recordings again, navigate to the specific recording and resume it. It's just a nuisance
