If my channels aren't restored I'm going to another provider! For what we pay for internet and cable there should be NO INTERRUPTIONS! NEVER happened before direct TV was involved.

All TV providers have this problem so changing to another is a short term fix. You channel removed their feed to DTV because DTV will not pay what they are asking to renew the contract.

That is a lie. Channel negotiations have existed since pay TV began. It is the nature of the industry.
Nothing you do will ever guarantee no interruptions. You cannot force the channel owners to always provide the feed. When their agreement comes up, it is their choice (not yours) on what they do with what they own. Sorry but you don't own them so cannot tell them what to do.
And changing providers doesn't save you since they all go through this at one point or another. Unfortunately, Nexstar is one of the biggest channel owners so causes a lot of grief for each provider when their turn comes up.
This is what you agree to with each provider (they all have their version of this clause):

It's the greedy corporations that own local stations (like Nexstar) that pulled your channels. They want more and more and more money to deliver FREE over-the-air stations. It's killing satellite/cable providers as they're forced to pass along those ever-increasing fees.
