Audio Device removed from list of brand choices
I have an Acurus Act 3 preamp and also an Emotiva preamp, both of which I've been able to program my Directv remote to control the volume. For some reason now, my remotes will no longer work with either the Acurus or the Emotiva preamps. I've discovered that both the brands Acurus and Emotiva no longer appear on the list of audio brand choices you can program your remote to. I don't know if it's because of a software upgrade that's eliminated these two brands, or if it's just a glitch. But I've tried everything and can no longer use either of our audio devices. We have a DirecTV "Whole Home" system with one large converter box in our living room where both the preamps are, as well as 2 smaller Genie boxes in bedrooms that just use the normal TV volume. If you try to program the 2 smaller Genie boxes, they both show that Acurus is still on the list. The larger living room box will not bring Acurus (or Emotiva) up on the list. Trying to post a photo showing that Acurus is on the list on the smaller Genie boxes, but it's not letting me for some reason. Any help is greatly appreciated because we're going crazy and are ready to toss the entire DirecTV system for something else.

@KevinSchini try a red button reset of the main Genie HD DVR, which you refer to as the large converter box. The red reset button is on the front where it says 'PRESS' or on the right side by the access card for the HR54 series. If still no success, search for keyword CLEARMYBOX by going to the Search.

Thank you and I'll try both of those suggestions. Appreciate the help and keep you posted on any progress. I honestly can't believe how frustrating this has become and hoping this works.

Unfortunately I've reset the receiver and also have done the CLEARMYBOX step and Acurus is still missing from the list on my living room (large box) list. However Acurus is still appearing in the list on the other 2 Genie boxes.
Back to square one. Not sure why this is still happening.

Still working on it but I've realized that my problems all started when one of my remotes died and I picked one up off Craigslist for a few bucks. Every remote I have is an RC73 except the new one, which is an RC72. I'm pretty sure that's the issue, though I can't seem to unpair or disconnect the RC72 from the system. I'm thinking I'm going to have to do a full factory restore to original settings but don't want to do that yet until I get approval from the DirecTV tech whose been helping me.
