Cast and crew info, movie poster just a black box with text

Hello all,

About a month ago, we switched home internet providers from Spectrum to T-Mobile 5G home internet. And now, none of the cast and crew information is populating.

We have a HR54/500 DVR.

I did a double reset (pushed the red button on the side twice within 30 minutes) 11 hours ago, which would clear out any old info.

I have the DVR connected wirelessly to my T-Mobile router.

When I do a speed test on my DVR, it says “your connection is great. You can stream our best video quality.”

I am able to stream on demand content wirelessly, though it takes quite a while for it to buffer. I’m testing watching “King Richard” on HBO on Demand, and it’s taken me 5 minutes to get 5 minutes of the movie available to watch. This morning, I tried watching “The Shot Heard ‘Round the World”, a 58 minute documentary, and it took nearly half an hour for it to be fully viewable.

Speedtest on my iPhone 13 shows 170 Mbps download, and a 1.07 Mbps upload. I’m resetting the 5G router every morning. It’s placed in the optimal position per their ap.

Before going to bed, every single program and/or movie I looked at on the guide had no preview movie poster (just a black box with the title in white text), and when I looked at cast and crew, it was “actor actor actor director”. No pictures, no biographical data.

Now, 11 hours later, a few programs shows the preview poster. The same is true on my saved programs. A few shows will display the preview poster. But there’s still no cast and crew biographical data or pictures. It’s still “actor actor…”

What’s going on here? When I had a wired connection directly into the back of the Spectrum router, everything was much faster. A double reboot would have a whole lot more information than I do now by the same time.

All I have connected to the back of the DVR is the power, the HDMI connection to my TV, and the coaxial line in from the wall. It was originally connected with a splitter, with a DIRECTV connected home adapter running an Ethernet connection to the back of my internet router. But the WI-FI network connection replaces that, does it not?

15 minutes since starting the on demand stream, my DVR shows “20 minutes partial.” When I try to view cast and crew info for the movie I am streaming, I get “please wait” for about 30 seconds, and the cast info populates with birthplace and date, “producer, guest, voice, self, director, actor” for Will Smith. No picture.

I’d really appreciate some help. This is driving me nuts.

Most channels servers only send the file at the same rate as the program time, one hour program takes an hour to download, it takes a day or 2 for all the On Demand data to download and the Cast info is the last download.

Thank you, Shannon. More than anything, I didn’t want to find out that I was missing something, or had not set it up properly.  I suppose as long as the first few posters have appeared, where they were all blank after the second reboot, the data is transferring. I understand that there are a lot of shows and movies to update. Lots of cast and crew members. It’s got to be a pretty sizable database.

I’ll give it a few more days to update.

BTW an HR54 doesn't need a Connected Home Adapter and you can just run an Ethernet cable directly from the HR54 to the router if you want.
