channel inserter & band stop filter
I would like to set up at a bar with multiple tvs a way for putting jpg ads & menu items on their screens on an unused DirectTV channel.
I have a device that takes the jpgs & will attach to the channel inserter - if I place the band stop filter on the cable coming from dish & cable from inserter and put those on a Y-splitter before the 8-way which feeds the TVs (this is where the dish lead goes now) this should allow me to then have those jpgs play on whatever channel I have the inserter set to.
My question is - Is there a specific bandwith I need to use to do this? I believe channel bandwiths for both the inserter & filter need to match.
There are many options available so any directions to what I should purchase would be appreciated.

That will not work. You cannot insert an NTSC video signal (channel) into the same coax as your DirecTV satellite signals. That inserted channel will mess up the satellite signal feeding your DirecTV boxes.
If you're feeding the TVs with an NTSC channel (ANTENNA feed), you could possibly insert that channel at that point. But if you're using HDMI to feed each TV, that won't work either.

Sorry but DirecTV is not built to allow others to insert their own stuff. The setup is rather proprietary.
Hopefully you've replaced your D12 (listed in your last thread) as MEPG-2/SD-only is shutting down.

@Juniper I would have to bet that they have, that D12 would have had to act up in the past decade lol. If not, OP please call DIRECTV (number in my greeting below) and ask for the billing department. Tell the agent that you would like a FREE HD SWAP for your D12. Whether you receive an H24/H25 or Genie Mini client, it will operate similar to your D12 except with HD channels, RF capability, WH-DVR (Whole Home DVR), and a few more features.

As they mention a bar and advertisements, I assume they don't get Whole Home DVR as would be a business account.
