Cleveland Guardians

Receiver needs an update to change the Cleveland Indians to Cleveland Guardians to allow "MY TEAMS" to work

DTV has nothing to do with the guide data they buy it from a guide data maker like a lot of TV providers do.  You may have to do manual recording of that team.

I've made three calls to unhelpful technical support representatives who didn't seem to know anything about the "MY TEAMS" section of the "SETUP" menu on the receiver.  This is a receiver software issue, not a guide information issue.  (the guide is correctly calling the team the Guardians.)

Until it is fixed manual is the only way to record them.  DTV may have farmed out search also.

Does anyone know a number to get an actual directv engineering person on the line.  Customer Service is very repetitive and seems outsourced..  now trying my third level of escalation and 40 minutes into my forth call.  They all seem to reading the same script…

Well I finally got to a call center manager that confirmed that they now know if the issue and are working on it…hmm
