display settings

We just got ,a new, larger tv for living room added to the same service as the existing tv in the recreation room. After setting up the larger tv, the guide, menu and settings displaying on the smaller tv are much larger and and unreadable and cannot (as yet)  be reduced. Both are Insignia televisions.

Thanks for sharing, @MarkoaPA. Please try to adjust the video settings on your smaller TV. With a Genie remote:

- Press INFO.
- Scroll with the right arrow to Audio/Video.
- Press the down arrow to Change Resolution & Format, then press SELECT to view the different screen formats.

Let us know how it goes. John, DIRECTV Community Team

I was mistaken on the smaller tv; it is a Dynex RC701-0A, and neither remote helps...we don't have a genie remote, but the older style RC73

Double check as RC7X series is the Genie remote (also known as "peanut" style). The RC6X is the old white universal remote.

The two locations are on one satellite box...could the order of the wiring make a difference (ie if I switched to the smaller tv first, would the guides appear the same size on both?)

You have 2 TVs connected to the same box? That might be the issue as DirecTV is designed for each TV having their own.

Are you using a powered HDMI splitter? (supports HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2?)

If not, how are your TVs wired?

What model DirecTV box?

Is remote model for sure RC73?
