Dvr and picture freeze, pixel,skips & shut off

Can't fast forward or rewind during freeze. It will restart at end.  Have to restart again and FF to froze point and it skips ahead.  It's starting to pixel and freeze during regular programming now, as well as pause a long time when switching channels. The other day it suddenly jumped channels. When turning on a channel it will show details of another channel and play the sound while showing the picture of the tuned in one,  weird. I've troubleshooted, reset, refreshed, ran diagnostics that also just freezes, never finishing and jumping back to begin scan over and over or gets stuck on running receiver self-check. Tried Unplugging to test as well. Wifi signal strong etc. Still same results in any weather. Started sporadically over this year,  then about 4 weeks ago regular occurrence. Cannot watch any playback of recordings.
