dvr stops recording before time ends
when i stop watching the game , and turn off the tv, the game recording also stops. what am i doing wrong?

What DVR model number do you have?
The DVR shouldn't care if your TV is on or off. Is the DVR being powered OFF when the TV is turned off? Note that DVRs are never really OFF unless the power is unplugged. Or you're using a "smart" power strip that kills power to all outlets when the TV is off.

no , i will call customer service today and ask for a reset when i go to the directv page it shows to be offline for some reason
