Dvr
We have a Directv installed here at my sister's house. We each have our own box on our bedrooms. We can all record and watch all recorded shows, movies with our own boxes.
Sometimes someone will delete my football games (happened twice). I would like my own DVR, or other recordable option to record my own shows so that nobody else can delete them by mistake.
Is There something I can purchase or rent directly from Directv? Or some other stand alone DVR that will work with Directv?
Thanks.

What are the models of each of your boxes?
If is a Genie with HDDVRs, then there is already an option. Go into Whole Home settings and set "Remote Deletion" on your box to "No". That way it can be watched from either TV, but you have to be at the box to delete it.
Be aware that any Mini Genie Client is just an extension of the main Genie. Think if it as those TVs on one box, one hard drive of recordings. This is why I prefer HDDVRs over Clients because of the additional options.
The Genie-2 (HS17) is the only box that only allows Clients, forbiding any kind of full receivers.

The model number in my room is Model C61-700. I went to whole home settings but there wasn't a remote deletion.

What are my other options? An old VCR Recorder? A DVR that will work for Directv that I don't have to pay a monthly charge? I wouldn't mind paying a monthly charge if I'm not locked in a contract. I just want to use it during football season.

The C61 is a Genie client so thus you aren’t able to make a setting that prevents others from deleting recordings. These recordings are stored on the main Genie HD DVR, whether this be an HR44, HR54, or HS17. If you’d like your own DVR you must first NOT have an HS17 as those prevent standalone boxes from being activated on accounts. Next, you must swap the C61-700 for an HR24. DIRECTV is low on these standalone HDDVR models at the moment so stock is unknown. They may have it or they may not. If they don’t have it, you’ll have to buy one from the trusted third-party reseller like Solid Signal. Getting boxes off eBay, Craigslist, or facebook marketplace won’t work since they cannot be reactivated on another person’s account. Furthermore, boxes from these three sources are often currently still activated on someone else’s account or have been marked as stolen/fraud.

Also, it would help if you included the model numbers of ALL of the boxes like Juniper originally asked for. Just one model doesn’t do much, although we do know the one in your room is a Genie mini working off of a Genie HD DVR.

Thanks for the confirmation. My previous message still stands true. I suggest you swap that C61 for a standalone HR24. A contract extension may occur by doing so and you may have to end up purchasing one from Solid Signal for around $199 if DIRECTV does not have one in stock.

Ebay has HR24 But there's HR L24 100, 200 & one that's 500. Does it matter which one? Do I have to contact directv or can I just swap them out if I buy one?

You have a Genie and 3 Mini Genie Clients. That means you have 4 TVs sharing a single recording list/hard drive. There is no way to stop deletion as essentially all TVs are off one box.
You would need an HDDVR (i.e. HR24) instead of a Client. This has 2 tuners (reduces recording conflicts), but more importantly is a full reciever with a hard drive. That would allow you to stop remote deletion on that one box.
You can try ordering one from DirecTV, but their stock has dwindled as they were pushed to Genie-only setups. Alternatively, ordering through a 3rd party (such as Solid Signal) is an option (until they run out). However authorized 3rd parties cannot do free upgrades, so would be at the one-time lease cost of $199. It is a 24 month service agreement either way.
If you do get an HDDVR, I would swap out the C51 as it is the oldest model. Of course make sure the new box goes in the room you don't want recordings deleted remotely from.

As I stated, you cannot order equipment from eBay, Craigslist, or Facebook Marketplace. Too often this equipment is stolen, marked as fraud, still activated on someone’s account, or unable to be reactivated. You MUST either get it from Solid Signal or from DIRECTV.
