That is not an exchange but a upgrade. Hence the 24 month service agreement.
4K requires main Genie to be HR54 or HS17. It is tech isntalled. 4K TV must support HDMI 2.0, HDCP 2.2, and 60 FPS. Naturally the 4K TV must be there or tech doesn't install it.
If you are replacing a receiver (HD or HDDVR) you lose those tuners and recording space.
You came on the forum assumendly looking for guidance, but you said very little. We were trying to help, but needed more info to give you specific information. Didn't want to just throw a horde of info at you if it all didn't apply.
With the influx of new agents (or outsourced), some agents may not give the best info when it comes to equipment. It is best to get guiance before you call and place an order. Asking a question, not waiting for a response and just calling and ordering without that info seems a bit impulsive. Just wanting to be sure you don't end up with a setup that isn't quite what you want.
You already have a 4K Mini Genie Client (C61K)? That would have been very useful to share with your original post.
The tech install is required if it is your first 4K Client. If the upgrade is replacing a existing Client with 4K, and you already have a C61K on another TV, then this could be drop shipped instead of tech install.
As a note, you have a 4K Client, not receiver. Receivers have tuners, independent settings, and if an HDDVR their own recording space. So Clients are less capable than receivers in most cases. But if you have a non-4K Client you are upgrading, then no capability lost.
HR54 can only use up to 3 Clients. Only 1 at a time may use a 4K channel. This model allows receivers on other TVs, not just Clients.
HS17 can use up to 7 Clients, as it forbids receivers. Only 2 at a time may use a 4K channel.
I do hope the upgrade works out for you. If you have further questions or requests regarding equipment in the future, please provide details about your existing setup. That way you get productive specific guidance instead of people flying blind trying to help you.

Do you have an HR54 Genie or an HS17 Genie2 to get the 4K channels? If so then you call DTV or go to your DTV account online to order one.

Getting 4K is not simply an exchange, but an upgrade of equipment.
What are the models of each box you have now? That will determine how a 4K upgrade will affect you.
There is no 4K receiver, just a 4K Mini Genie Client at this time. Depending on your setup, you might sacrifice capability to have it installed.
