H24 Receiver Needs Replaced
Hi,
I have an H24/100 receiver and the power input is worn out (need to jiggle the cord to get it to work and DO NOT touch it after it does) and the Coax input for the satellite cable is also worn out and needs replaced. I use this unit in my RV, so I configure it to a multiswitch when I am on the road and SWiM when I am at home.
Is there any way to get a replacement, or do I need an electronics professional to replace these two items on the circuit board?
If I get another receiver that has an access card, can I just call and deactivate the bad unit and activate the replacement unit?
Thanks in advance for the help.

Here to help, @peachfuzz27. Yes, you can request a replacement, and you have the option to self-install it or request a technician. Also, the replacement receiver comes with its own access card. Sending you a DM now; a specialist is ready to help. John, DIRECTV Community Team

@peachfuzz27
You call DirecTV and a warranty replacement is $19.95 delivery (or covered if you are paying for the equipment protection plan). This is same model or newer which means a chance of H25 that is SWM-only.
Boxes are not owned so you cannot just get another one from elsewhere. Authorized retailers may only provide for the one-time lease cost, which is $99 for HD non-DVR (minimum as some have started increasing their costs per legacy equipment). Comes with 24 month service agreement.
If you have an older box that was on the account, it should be recycled (if they didn't want it back). DirecTV stopped reactivating boxes a long time ago, shortly after purchase to own options were discontinued.
Access cards are paired to their unit and may not be swapped between boxes.
(edit: correction HD non-DVR is $99, HDDVR is $199. Sorry, too used to HDDVR being the request)
