The Hr54 Would get you 4K Service and record it and send it to one Ck61K to View recorded 4k and display channel 104 & 105 +4k Payper view. The Hr54 Can not display 4k over HDMI to a 4K TV

The HS-17 Does not have a HDMI port so it will not connect directly to any tv(it sends) Video & Audio over MOCO (RG-6) only. -it has 2TB hard drive and you can record 4K and send view it on 2 4K tv's

So, if you do not want 4k service or a larger HD --Keep what you have

Hi, we know having your equipment upgraded is vital to fully enjoy your programming. The HR-54 is the best option because you can enjoy 4K live programming (when linked with 4K client), Record 4k content, and access to 4k pay-per-view content. If you are interested in 4K quality your best option is to upgrade your Genie Mini Client to a CK61K.

We love to see our customers upgrading their equipment. Thanks for being the best part of our DIRECTV family. Hakan, DIRECTV Community Specialist.

Directvhelp gave you the wrong model number. To confirm, it is C61K.

The HR44 is the Genie, which is DirecTV's top most flexible line. There is not a straightforward upgrade. There are 4K options, but you have to sacrifice other capability to get it.

What are the models of every box you have and what are you trying to get out of an upgrade?

Remember being newer doesn't automatically make it better. Comes down to overall capability and what you personally need out of it.
