Internet and DECA
Hi all, I’m not sure if this is the correct place to ask but here we go.
I currently have DirecTv. (Genie 2 and 6 4K clients). Spectrum gig internet and an Netgear Orbi Mesh System.
I don’t really game but wanted to try Google Stadia. “Gaming service that doesn’t require a PC or gaming system” Complete streaming service. While I have complete WiFi coverage in the house, Stadia needs 5G or direct connection to internet to work smoothly.
My router, modem and genie 2 are all in the basement. I need a solid connection on the 2nd floor and after reading a little bit sounds like MoCA may be an option? I really don’t know anything other than what I’ve read. Anyone know if this works with a DirecTV setup? Any suggestion on what to buy if this is possible? Reading online the Genie 2 has MoCA 2.2?
Will these work if I simply want internet via network cable in a space room with no client or receiver?

Apparently, these work but only for 100Mb/s.

Should add that my internet and directv are currently on different coax.
Internet comes straight in from outside on its own coax line right to modem.
Directv comes in on other side of house and goes into the house box that goes to each room.
Genie 2 is hard wire via Ethernet from router.

DTVs MOCA system is not made to work with anything other then DTV receivers. You need to run an Ethernet cable from your router upstairs.

Thanks, it’s not possible to run Ethernet from router to upstairs.
What about DECA? I know people use those to get internet to other devices other than receivers?

DTV will not service an unauthorized use of their system.

I’m simply trying to get internet to a room that otherwise has bad WiFi. I don’t need “service”.

DirecTV equipment is not designed to provide internet to other devices. They are not built to separate the TV service (both satellite and On Demand) from your other internet usage. So trying that is high risk of breaking your system and DirecTV can only fix any issues by putting it back the way it is supposed to be, at your cost. Or you try and fix it back yourself if you don't ever need DirecTV to service your setup.
If WiFi and direct Ethernet are not feasible, there is another option to consider. If you have good home wiring, you could use a powerline adapter. Though may not reach the full speed of direct Ethernet, it normally is faster and certainly more stable than WiFi. Just need a free power outlet (not surge protector) by the router (Gateway if modem/router combo unit) and one in the problem room. Then it is just a short Ethernet cord from each respectively.
