Internet

I was told today that they could not replace my box because I do not have internet. We have never had internet and we have had DirecTV for 15 years. Is this true?

Not true. DirecTV satellite service does not require an active internet connection to receive satellite signals. Who told you this?

Told your satellite box wouldn't be replaced because you don't have internet? That is completely false. Either you got someone who had no clue or they were straight up lying to you. DirecTV (satellite) has no requirement of internet, never has.

What's the model of your box(es)?

Why are you looking to replace (technical issue, upgrade interest, etc.)?

Any other concerns/questions with replacing equipment?

As for being told you needed internet, who gave you that info? Did you call the official customer support number, answer a call to you, website chat, in-person, somewhere else?
