loss of signal
one of my receivers keeps loosing signal sometimes it will have the higher channels but not the lower ones sometimes I will loose all of them they stay out for different amounts of time an thin just come back on. Reset and un plus does nothing just have to wait till it does its thing. This box is the farthest from the dish its out in the garage about 200 feet away ? My other 2 boxes in the house work fine ?

the boxes are old not even high deff. loss of signal on linr 1 or 2 I think cod 771 ?

DTV is shutting down the MPEG2 channels so to continue using DTV you have to swap SD only receivers to MPEG4 HD receivers and most likely they will have to change the dish. 771 is a dish alignment problem.

I cant get high deff. where I live Im lucky to get SD. will changing boxes still fix my problem

The entire United States gets DIRECTV in HD unless line of sight is an issue. Do you have trees in the southern sky? Is/can your dish be placed in a clear area that allows a southern sky view?

Then you will have to change your provider as DTV only has 4 channels at this time on the 101 sat that are MPEG4 and new receivers will not change the signal problem.
