Multiply issues with Gemini box

I am having some issues with my Gemini box when watching recordings. When you put it on pause for over a few minutes and then hit pause to go back to what you were watching it would just go to a black screen. The only way to get it back is to turn off the gemini and then turn it back on. The other issue is again putting on pause after a few minutes it would just unpause itself and go back to the recording but start at the beginning not where it was paused. I have unplugged the cable and power from the unit many times, it will work for about a day then start doing it all over again. After about an hour on chat with direct tv AI they suggested I do a factory reset. Any ideas
