Overall DirecTv Customer Service
I have been a customer for over 25 years, and since the AT&T acquisition I can say the DirecTv has had a horrible business plan and it's Customer Service has suffered. I simply want to 'add' a receiver - I cannot go to a store and get one, I have to go through a painful overseas telephone call with Customer Service, then have to wait for a technician to drop one off. Shouldn't it be as easy as the old days? Walk in to Best Buy and get a receiver? Go to an AT&T store and get a receiver?
AT&T has made everything from calling Customer Service to obtaining a receiver so much more difficult than it needs to be.

It's many years since you were able to get a receiver at an ATT store or Best Buy. In many situations,adding a receiver involves other changes to your configuration maybe even a new dish. And if you still have SD receivers or DVRs these are obsolete because Directv is removing SD service completely.

You should be able to log into you account to order additional receivers.
