RC66RX remote will power on/off tv in TV mode but while in Directv mode it only powers on/off the receiver via the directv/tv button.

This is a new issue for me. Previously this function did work with my setup.

Any help would be appreciated!!

What do you mean by "TV Mode" and "DirecTV Mode"?

If you're using the TV power button on the RC66 remote, then that's correct behavior. Sliding the switch to DirecTV will only power the DirecTV box.

the slider function is what i am talking about. I used to be able to have the slider set to directv and when I would press the directv /tv power button both would be powered on or off

If the TV was powering on with the remote switch in the "DirecTV" position, then it was likely relying on the TV's "HDMI CEC Power" setting. This enables the TV to power on when the DirecTV box powers on. Check that setting on both the TV and the DirecTV box.

The ON and OFF buttons should control both TV and DirecTV while the PWR button only controls what the mode switch is set to. What is the brand of your TV.?

Correct ! The ON and OFF buttons only power on and off the receiver but not the tv. The tv I have is a Vistron, i was able to find the model number on the remote setup menu and everything else works.
