I changed batteries and now remote is dead. I can’t get to menu to do anything.

What is the remotes model number starts with RC?

What is model number of remote?
Is it only the menu it doesn't go to? Everything else works?
Model of box it is paired with?
Does it do anything when you press MENU? (even a bonk sound from the TV)
In case issue is on the box side, did you try a red button reset?
