Signal Booster?
I have a Genie2 and Genie 4K *wired* mini's throughout the house. I have a back yard TV that is a really long run...probably 150ft. I have confirmed I get full picture/audio, but i can detect a slight degradation in resolution quality. Also, the 4K channels flicker and don't show up. I'm pretty sure the signal is not strong enough.
DirecTV support does not have a solution for this other than to bring it closer.
Are there any WORKING signal boosting solutions I can use, 3rd party? I tried a phillips one yesterday and it does not work, probably due to the Genie2 having to see the mini's directly somehow.
HEEEEEELLP! ;)

There is no wireless 4K mini. 150ft is the max that DTV will run coax so that is not a problem. The WVB and the C41W/C61W minis setup a separate network that only they can use but you can add more wired WVB to extend the 80ft range in free air.

hey thanks. but i'm not following what WVB is and C41W/C61W is. If I misspoke, my wired receivers are model: C61K-700. I don't want any wireless solution here if possible. I think I may be even past the 150ft mark. There is a signal, i get audio/video, but the resolution looks like 1080i and the 4K stations do not show up. I feel like the signal is degraded. Is there any solution to this situation? Do you know of any signal boosting option?

There are no boosters. The 150ft is just what DTV decided is the max due to the power loss to the SWM LNB on the dish arm but that is only for that run as the coaxes to the receivers don't carry power.

Ok you can try installing a 29Volts power inserter where the 4k client is and move the genie 2 on the splitter to one of the orange spots and then connect the line coming from the 4k and power inserter to the red spot , I did one time in an apartment complex with MDU and works fine 🤯

As stated the power inserter is only needed to power the SWM LNB on the dish arm the coaxes to the minis don't have or need power.

@shannon02 , when you say the minis don't have or need power, why is my screen resolution not even 1080p? and my 4k channels don't come on? is there a way to fix this?

Remember there are like 4 o 5 channels with 4k resolution all the rest of the channel will show in 1080i, if your tv is 4k make sure you put the hdmi in the imput that says ARC in the back of the tv, some time says BEST imput , if your tv is not 4k and you select the 4k channels the maximum resolution is 1080p

Your signal is being degraded by the cable run, there is no power being carried on the cable to the C61 so the comment on power inserter is irrelevant.
You need to try to reduce the cable loss. First, make sure you are not using too many splitters in the line to the remote C61. Change your spltter configuration so the signal goes from the genie to one two-way spliiter, one output from this goes to the 150ft cable run, then all your other minis connect to splitters on the second output.
If this does not solve the problem, try using RG11 cable instead of RG6. RG11 has lower signal losses than Rg6.

There are no boosters (company made or 3rd party) for DirecTV equpment. The wireless video bridge (WVB) is up to 80 feet in ideal conditions. The WVB is what connects the only two wireless Minis (C41W and C61W).
At this time there is no wireless 4K box. The C61K is wired only and the only 4K model at this time. There is mention of a "Gemini" that sounds like a wireless 4K Client, but this is not something launched yet so more info to come.
What you want is too far for a wireless setup. You will need to either replace wireless Minis with wired, having coax run where needed, or perhaps see about adding an external WVB in another location to spread your coverage. The external WVB needs to be on the coax of course, but serving multiple Mins would allow you to minimize cabling.
