watching 4k programming

  Have a New LG OLED 4K TV connected to a HR 54/500 genie.  Will not let me select 4K programing, I understand the HR54/500 on its own is not capable of outputting 4k and I would need a 4K mini C61 to output the 4K.   I do have another 4K TV in another room connected to a C61 Mini and it works just fine.   How can I get the new LG TV to get 4K channels, It is currently connected to a HR54/500 Genie.   Thanks..

you need a C61K client to get 4K from an HR54.

you need to call and add 4K Service to your account --as stated before you will need to add a C61K-700 to your 4K tv as it's the only D*TV receiver with a HDMI 2.0 Connection.

I have 4K service and I have a C61k-700 connected to my 4K Samsung TV, all is fine there.  My new LG 4K is connected to the HR54/500 genie which does not output 4K.  How can i Connect a C61K-700 to the LG TV if the HR54/500 is already connected???  Thanks.

You can't. A TV needs a C61K to get 4K. The HR54 will only support one C61K 4K stream. To get more you would need a genie 2 (HS17) which will support 2 C61Ks.

@menos1

You will need to install another c61K-700 on the same TV that your hr54 is connected to using another TV input on the LG.

Then your issue is resolved --
