When pausing a recorded show, once the screen saver comes up, the show won't play and starts from the beginning again.

Just as in the in the subject line. When we are watching a recorded show from the DVR, on either box, living room or bedroom, once we hit pause and the screensaver comes up, the show will not play from where we paused it. It starts it completely from the beginning each time.  There doesn't seem to be a solution, I've restarted both boxes, disconnected power and reset, and did a complete factory reset. No changes.

Any advice?

Others have reported this, so it looks like a bug.

Mine is similar, but if I pause the recorded program, or turn it off to come back to it later, it restarts from the beginning. If you go to the page where you would start from & click resume, because it sent you to the beginning, resume doesn't take you to where you paused or turned it off. If you are already a good deal into the recording, it takes forever to FF to the place you were. Does that make any sense?

I have a fire stick 4K, & do not have the streaming box, too much money!

On another note, if I pause live TV, it won't hold the program, when you come back to it it is farther ahead. It always held the program when I had DTV satellite.

@klhrunnin

First, you are replying to a two year old thread.

Second, you replied with your concern in the DIRECTV SATELLITE forums which is different from the DIRECTV STREAM forums. They are specifically labeled to prevent any confusion.

I will be closing this thread so you must start a new one in the stream section please.

In that thread, include if this has been an issue in the past and what type of ‘recorded’ programs have this issue (recorded from live TV or recorded on-demand content)
