Will I lose recorded programs?
Replacing my HR54-700 with a new one. Old one works off and on... unreliable. Question...we have lots of programs recorded . Are they on the old receiver or are they in a cloud somewhere?? Will we lose all those recordings when we install the new one?

You'll lose those recordings. There's no way to transfer from one DVR to a new DVR. Sorry. If you can't watch them before replacing the DVR, hopefully you can find them OnDemand or various streaming apps.

If you have multiple TVs, I hope you have HDDVRs instead of Mini Genie Clients. Though recordings do not copy, as each HDDVR (including Genie) has their own hard drive, it helps to minimize any loses in a replacement situation.
