i just spent 2 hours on the phone talking to vizio and directV about my 797 message error. Does directv plan on fixing this issue? Customer service was very nice but lacked knowledge of 3D. Is the standard well enough defined to be purchasing 3D televisions at this point?

Yes, I ran from the "audio out" jack (like a headphones jack) on the TV, to the sound bar. Simple to set up and the sound is spectacular. I'm happy now with the TV and the sound but I can't live with having a seperate remote just for volume.
