ESPN Unlimited Restrictions Not Posted
When there was an announcement about ESPN Unlimited access, it was said that DirecTV Stream customers would have access to the service. Once November 30 passed, I called in and I’m being told that because my apartment complex is providing the basic service I don’t qualify, even though I’m paying for the premier upgrade package that has the sports package included. It seems weird that HBO Max is provided without any additional cost but apparently ESPN isn’t. If there is a provision in the guidelines that I’m missing that expressly says people living in apartments don’t qualify, please let me know where it is.

ESPN gives permission to be in certain packages.
Apartments, or other Muti Dwelling Unit (MDU) setups may have different packages than standard residential packages.
There is no guarantee that ANY channel be available to you always or ever, partly because as shown above DirecTV doesn't own the channels so had to negotiate what is or is not permitted to have them. (and that can change at any time).
You are not going to find some special provision about people living in apartments. Comes down to what the package/channel options you have available and what is in them at any given time. Sorry but it is not going to be some loophole to say "gotcha! you are required to give my that channel, muah hah hah" as not how it works.
Hopefully the next time DirecTV and Disney (EPSN's owner) negotiate it would result in a better option for you. But these carriage agreements are normally multi-year so may be a while for that chance.
