I am new to the service -- I've tried following the info on the prior posts about this same subject, but it seems something may have changed in the past two years since the last thread on this subject because the message keeps popping up.

I have an elderly family member that has no motor skills to push a button on a remote and they pretty much will watch the same channel all day.  So it's frustrating when someone in my household has to go into their room every four hours when their viewing experience freezes up because of some setting I can't see to disable using the instructions that are out there.

Are there any updated instructions for Gemini Air devices in 2026 to disable this prompt?

The DIRECTV Gemini Air features an automatic sleep mode, typically triggering after 4 hours of inactivity to save power. To disable or adjust this, go Home > Settings > System > Device Preferences > Screen Saver/Power Saving (bottom option) on the device.
