Can you use DTV Stream in multiple households?

Yes on the box. VPNs are discourage. If detected you may be banned. If your device has location services it must be on to deliver correct local broadcast.

I have a related question.  I'm aware that DirecTV Stream has the technical capability of serving two households.  One would be the "home" location while the other would be an "outside" location.  (While the system allows up to two TV-connected devices outside the home and one mobile device is required for the third "outside" stream, I believe you can only have ONE "outside" stream per Internet connection.  In other words, to fire up three "outside" streams, you need to be connected to three separate Internet network connections.)

But here's my question:  While it technically works, does it violate the DirecTV Streams Terms of Service, TOS?  I ask because, in the case of YouTube TV, there is a specific prohibition against people using the "outside" streams if they're not a member of the "home" household.  

Well, I've never heard anything to the effect that DirecTV Stream has a similar restriction in the fine print.  However, on occasion, DirecTV Stream reps have told me that, but I have a feeling they're mistaken.

What are DirecTV Stream's actual rules on this?  Thanks.

DirecTV has no restrictions on the use by others. I have siblings in other locations that share the service.

As far as the separate internet connections, there is no connection limitation either. At least I have not encountered an issue.

To be clear then, there's nothing in the fine print of TOS for DirecTV Stream to prohibit password sharing for up to three people outside of your home account, is that correct?  

In addition, if I understand you correctly, it is perfectly possible for ALL THREE of the "outside" streams to be running off of THE SAME Internet connection, correct?

I currently have DirecTV Streaming via ATT Fiber, Arris BGW210-700 Broadband Gateway, and two ATT C71KW-400 TV boxes and remotes to serve two TV's. I live in NC. My daughter will be temporarily living in Virginia for about a year. Will we be able to move one of the TV along with its serving box and have it work in Virginia as part of our current account. Her future apartment is only served by Verizon fiber. Will the Verizon router allow her ATT TV box to work?

In general, ttjacob, what you describe is perfectly feasible.  But I do have one caveat:  I'm used to using DirecTV Streaming with standard streaming play boxes, like Roku, Fire TV, and so on.  And those can travel anywhere, and connect to anyone's Internet connection, whether ATT or Verizon or Spectrum or whatever.

Proprietary streaming play boxes however, like your ATT boxes, MAY be a different matter.  I don't think there should be a problem but I've never actually heard of anyone doing what you describe.  As far as I know, your ATT boxes are configured to work with any Internet connection; they are not exclusive to ATT Internet.  If I'm right, then there's no problem.

However understand that your daughter's stream in Virginia will no longer be scored as one of your allowed unlimited home streams.  Instead, it will be counted as one of your two allowed outside TV-connected streams.  So just be aware that you will only have one additional TV-connected outside stream available to you once your daughter starts watching DirecTV Streaming in Virginia.  Sounds to me like there's no one else who's going to be watching on your account outside of your NC home, so that probably will not be a problem.

The verizon router is no problem, using AT&T is definitely not required for DIRECTV streaming service.  The limitation that you may run into is that DIRECTV streaming allows 20 [If I remember correctly] active at the home location and 3 outside the home.  There can be issues with stream counting that don't appear a lot with a high limit, but you may run into with 3.  Only one location can be "home" and whether you're at home or not is determined by the public IP address that the request arrives at DIRECTV from.

With only one device at each of two different locations, I wouldn't expect you to have any problems, though.

Are DVR profiles limited the 'home network' location use or could DVR profiles be set up and used at the second remote connection or while traveling and carrying an Osprey or Gemini device.

Would it be possible for a DTV agent to answer my question?
