Setting number of shows in a series to keep
I am new to DirectTV but had TIVO for many years in NJ and now TX. LOVED IT but Xfinity stopped supporting cable-cards and was switched to their system. TERRIBLE. Just changed to AT&T and DirectTV and relearning everything. At 86 that AIN'T EASY! I see how to record a single episode or a series but not how to limit how many shows to keep. No reason to keep more than a few in my case. Any suggestions??? I hope it can be done. Not feeling great about being unable to find out how to do that from the DirectTV web page. THANKS

Welcome to DIRECTV, @ralphedel! 🙌 You can remove a recording during video playback. Or, you can delete single episodes of a series on your DIRECTV device, the DIRECTV App on a compatible device, or a web browser. Here’s how:
1. In My Library, highlight the recorded series tile, displaying the number of episodes recorded, then press OK to display episodes recorded within the series.
2. Scroll down, if needed, to highlight the episode to be deleted. Press the arrow to highlight the Trash Can, then press OK.
Recorded content will be removed 9 months after recording, with a daily expiration warning starting 7 days prior to deletion. Learn more on how to manage your cloud DVR recordings at Record and watch with cloud DVR | DIRECTV Support John, DIRECTV Community Team

You can keep recordings, however you'll need to manually delete each other recording you don't want to keep. We love the idea of being able to select multiple recordings to delete them in one go! We've forwarded your suggestion to our team for future enhancements.

Do you have regular DirecTV (satellite) or a streaming-only version instead (DirecTV via Internet / DIRECTV STREAM)?
AT&T sold off DirecTV a while back, and their own TV business as well. That transaction completed almost a year ago. Essentially AT&T got out of the TV business.

Is there a way to tell the system to only keep 2, 3 or some other number of recordings in a series and not have to constantly go in and delete individual ones? HOPE SO!
