$200 Rewards Card Redemption EXPIRED?!! HORRIBLE Customer Service!
I had a HORRIBLE experience with AT&T today. Let me first say that I am a VERY loyal AT&T customer. I have been an AT&T wireless costumer for about 5 years and I am a U-Verse customer that is about to move her services to a new address. When I first signed up for AT&T Uverse back in February of this year I was told I was going to receive a $200 rebate/rewards card. Which I assumed was just going to be mailed to me. Nothing came. It wasnt until a couple of months ago when I received a reward notification for a $10 Visa Card, that I realized I had to redeem my card online. I NEVER received notification to redeem. In fact, I was never acknowledge as a bundled customer and had to call in to have my discounts manual entered EVERY MONTH until May 2013. This may be why I never received the Reward notification in the mail. I called AT&T today to try to fix this problem, and I was spoken to very rudely and was told it was too late to redeem my card. I was NEVER told how the rebate system works, I NEVER received award notification because I wasnt acknowledge in the billing system as a bundle customer until more than 3 months later, so how was this my fault? I even told the customer service rep that if I was going to be treated this rudely that I wouldnt move my services and would cancel all together, but she continued to rush me off the phone. I have NEVER been treated this way by an AT&T employee and it was VERY frustrating. I have always been an advocate for AT&T's great customer service and relationship skills, and this was VERY disappointing.

I had the same exact situation. I was told I would get $200 and was only given $100. When I called and tried to get an extension on the expiration date because it expired 4-5 weeks after it arrived in the mail, they told me they were "sorry" but there was nothing they could do. Thanks for rewarding a loyal customer that automatically pays their bill on time each and every month. Thanks for making this girl feel "appreciated". I was on the phone for 18 minutes with your customer service line after being hung up on and literally wasted my breath and energy. It was such an utter dissapointment.

Yes, it does. But that's what you did when you stuck the card in your wallet and forgot about it.

Absolutely HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I too had been given a rewards card for signing up for U-verse. No one said anything about how long it would take to receive it or that I had so long to redeem it online so that they would send me a pre-paid Visa. I just found out today that it should have been in my email around August 11th, 2015 however.... surprise surprise... nothing was there. I have spent the afternoon dealing with getting the runaround on all of this. I signed up for Uverse for my kids and they dont even watch it!! And Im too busy with grad school to watch anything besides my lectures for class online.
Im canceling my services entirely. A mistake on the end of ATT doesnt mean that I have to just 'deal' with it. You've lost a customer with this move. I switched over because of the price and the promotion however Id rather just pay the early termination fee rather than continue paying for this.

I have a ATT reward card that expired 8/15. Only had it in my possession since 6/15. Never looked at the date. Decided to use it today only to find out it has expired. Only good for two months? Ridiculous!
Just another way to cheat the average person. Gee, thanks for the reward.
I will definitely remember this when I shop for phone, Internet service or TV.

Hi my name is Lissette and also i had a horrible experience with at&t, last year i received a $200 promotonal card which i didnt use because i want it to use next time when i change my phone, ihave the next plan with the option to change my phone every year, to my surprise when i went to the store to buy all the accesories for my husband and my phone they told us that the card was already expired and they couldnt do anything about it and that i should know that all promo cards and gift cards have a expiration date of a year and also i should've pay attention to that, he was so rude, all my family have been a loyal costumer of at&t for a long time and it is ridiculous being treated that way, definitely very upset and dissappointed.....

@LissBer Unluckily, they warn you to spend it quickly as it's going to expire quickly right on the paper the card was glued to. I know, it was on the last one I got earlier this year. An expired card will not be replaced, Reward Center rules.
Some people have posted they buy Visa gift cards, w/the reward card, that do not expire to avoid that problem. 😉

Hello,
I have been and am currently on the phone with the "Customer Service/Sales/ Billing/Rewards (oh and now Retention!)Department" for AT&T. Seems that a $150 Visa rewards card I was supposed to recieve expired Dec 1st but it was never sent or recieved. I have been on the phone since 9:30am it is now noon, I have been hung up on (twice) left on hold for 53 mins and forgot about, told i would be given a call back in 15-20 and an hour later still no call (not a great relflection of "Customer Service" for AT&T). And i find myself again, on hold and no one seems to be able to assit me so they tranfer me YET AGAIN to another department. Thanks AT&T(-_-)! I only want the rewards visa card which was a promotion of the service that I purchsed. In addition the service for AT&T Uverse and wireless internet has given me so many problems and have been SPOTTY AT BEST. Maybe its just time to switch to another company who values their customers and their time?...
Sincerly,
Just another unshowered disappointed customer

@sjonesa Did you ever redeem it at the Reward Center website, 30 days or so from install date? It just doesn't come to you by majic, you had to do something to get it.

Wow...this seems like a very long thread so I guess I am not along..
I also have got a total of $210 reward card expired and haven't been able to find a way to use them!
When I recieved the 2 $100 cards, they already expired! I have been trying to find the bank issued them but it doesn't have a branch in the area I lived in and both AT&T and the bank customer service were so difficult to be reached.
How come AT&T gives out reward cards that have so short usage time? And leading to a forum thread that repeats the same issue for 4 pages. This seems like a trick or scam to me...Is there any way to resolve this or get the reward card reissued? Any help will be appreciated.

I don't know about that, last one I got specifically warned me to spend it quickly as it expires in 2 months. I went out and spent it in the 1st week.
Some users actually buy Visa gift card w/the reward card, so it won't expire quickly.
Unluckily, expired offers/reward cards will not be replaced per Reward Center rules.
Having said that, might try sending a PM on the ATT Customer Care link in my signature below.
Include your name, account #, email address and a good phone # (land or cell) and time to contact you on.
Check the blue PM envelope, upper right on every page, for their reply. They can do more than any phone rep and stick w/it till it's done. Good luck 😉
