Competitive Price U-Verse and DirectTV
Will U-Verse now match the price of DirectTV for similar packages now that they are part of the same family?

One thing you can try is to contact AT&T via Facebook, Instagram or X. The agents there might be able to find something better than what the normal retentions department can find. They definitely did in my case.
As said, you'll have to keep track yourself of when the promotions expire, lest you be the recipient of a very steep bill increase.

These services do not do price matching.
DirecTV and U-Verse TV are not part of the same family, even when they have shared an owner at the top. They are run independently.
U-Verse TV is a legacy service, so not expected much flexibility in pricing in general would be available. However, whatever service you do have of the two, give them a call and discuss your options.
Be prepared there is no permanent reduction in price. Any discount you may get is temporary. Want to lower your price long term, lower the level of service.

I contacted an agent via X chat. Communication was great. Satisfied with promotion that was offered.

Yay! That's great news.
If you don't mind sharing the details publicly (remember, no billing number, address, etc), I'd love to hear them.
Mine is U-300 and internet 1000 with HBO Max plus I'm somehow grandfathered in to extra receivers and HD (I was once paying for these, but no longer am) for just north of $160. My previous deal that they were going to offer me before they looked deeper was about $10 more for the same stuff, only U-200.
I had casually asked about U-300, but said I didn't want to pay much more since I was already getting the Showtime and Smithsonian content via Paramount+, Reelz via Peacock and some other channels. Obviously I didn't want to pay double. After a long meeting with someone else, the agent came back and offered me the U-300 for less than the U-200.
U-450 (HBO, Cinemax, NHL Network and whatever the sports pack is these days) was going to be somewhere around $200/mo and I didn't want to screw up my complimentary HBO Max by getting HBO Max twice.
Just remember to make a note of the expiration date so you don't get surprised by a huge increase.
