Does anyone know what Domestic Off-net charges are?

Domestic Off-net Charges
$24.00

0 minutes used

Total Call Charges
$24.00

Does anyone know what this means?  $24.00 for 0 minutes  Off-net charges?  What if anything is that and my land line phone is basically just used to answer the door and buzz people into my building.  I can't get AT&T to answer any questions.  They always refer me to another department or offer to change my plan which brings up similar charges that I didn't ask for nor do I use.  HELP!

U-verse Voice calls can be defined as On Network (On Net) or Off Network (Off Net).

On Network (On Net) calls are placed from your U-verse Voice home phone to another U-verse Voice customer. These calls do not count against allotted minutes under a defined minutes-per-month plan. In essence, these calls are "free." On Net calls are not currently made available for viewing on monthly bills.

Off Network (Off Net) calls are any other calls placed to a wireless phone, a non-U-verse digital voice service, or to a traditional landline. If you're not on the Voice Unlimited plan, these calls will count against your allotted minutes per month. Domestic Off Net calls do not begin counting toward package block of time minutes or billing for overages until there is a confirmed connection between parties. These connections include pick up by answering machine, pick up by voicemail and pick up by terminating party. If a customer call is terminated as the connection is made it will result in a one minute call, as all minutes are rounded up. International dialing is treated the same way.

For subscribers on the Voice Unlimited plans, there is no limitation for either type of call. However, usage charges do apply for international calls under all plans. International calls, including International Mobile Termination fees are rated separately and vary by destination country.

I take it your question is why you were charged $24.00 for something where the bill shows no usage.  I've not seen anyone report that before, and most of the people on this forum don't have access to your account.

I'd suggest that you click this AT&T logoCustomer Service link to send a Private Message (PM) to the AT&T customer service team to help you resolve your request. You can expect a reply via return PM (the blue envelope envelope  in the upper right hand corner of this site, next to your avatar and name) in a business day or three.

Speed things up by including your Billing Account Number and the best way and time to reach you.

I removed the solution for you, although you did ask the question "Does anyone know what Domestic Off-net charges are?" and I answered.

Are you talking about U-verse Voice (VOIP), or wireless (cell phone) phone service?

As far as the zero minutes go, I would guess you have a flat rate (unlimited) on your service and they don't bother to list minutes. Is the bill always $24?

I also could not find anywhere on the bills where it says "Total Call Charges" using these billing examples.

I don't quite understand what you mean by "my land line phone is basically just used to answer the door and buzz people into my building." Could you explain that further?
