Plus I have a no soliciting sign at my front door. I have watched them on my camera that is out my front door. Is there a number that I can call at &t to make them stop coming. Yes I know they are AT&T b/c my neighbor talked to them. Please help!

As discussed ad nauseum, they do not work for ATT but are employeed by a direct marketing company.

Here's the sign I have by my doorbell:

We're too broke to buy anything.

We know who we're voting for.

We've found Jesus.

Unless you're selling Girl Scout Cookies

GO AWAY

Then if they ring your doorbell, you look out and say "DID YOU SEE THE SIGN???"

The contractors who work for AT&T are shady, suspicious and unprofessional representatives of AT&T.  It's funny how much time skeeterintexas spends defending these sleezebags who ignore city ordinances, trespass and insult the neighbors in my community.  Why doesn't skeeterintexas or someone else from AT&T post a phone number belonging to the contractor company who hires these sleezebags, so when they misbehave they can be held accountable?

A.  I'm not defending anyone.

B.  I actually signed up with a door-to-door salesman 7 years ago.  Perhaps things have changed.

C.  WHY IS EVERYONE PICKING ON ME??????????????????????/

How is that defending the sleezy door to door sales people?

The only thing he left out is:
"Can you get to my property line in 3.2 seconds, 'cause my attack dog can"
And
"Solicitors will be shot on sight"

I think that's an awesome idea for a sign. Almost as effective as the time we had our Japanse house guest answer the door when the Jehovah's rang the bell. He kept talking in Japanese and inviting them in. They couldn't get away fast enough.

I think a "protected by Smith and Wesson", and a sign "beware of attack dog" would be equally effective.

Thanks Liz!

Another good one is "I only shoot every 3rd salesman and the 2nd one just left."

@skeeterintexas

Lol.... I'm having a "Secondhand Lions" flashback... "...... We could always see what he's selling, then we could shoot him..."

Most of those things still won't work. Those reps are given a packet of addresses in a neighborhood and have to work those addresses until they've met a sales quota for it and until they've at least knocked on every door. They're ripped a new one and threatened with their jobs if they won't knock on a door just because it has a sign. I know this from experience (and have sold a ton of people who had no soliciting signs, honestly). I'm not saying they aren't rude or obnoxious but I am saying the pressure is coming from above them, and also that they aren't psychic and don't know you're home or that your baby is sleeping unless you answer the door and say so.

I live on a private road, in a rear lot.  They gotta find me first.  And a no trespass sign next to the private road sign should not be ignored.

I had one salesperson come to the door, for a solar panel company.  I Pointed up at all the trees shading my house.  'Nough said.

Two years later and they are still at it. I pointed to my "No Solicitors" sign, and they simply ignored it. They claimed that they weren't soliciting. I guess they don't know the definition of the word. I ordered them off the property, and they continued down the street, muttering and giggling.  Nice folks you have there, AT&T
