"Need Help With Promotion"
hello i have been with att uverse for a long time now. My promotion for Uverse Internet ends on the 25th of May yet my payment date is on the 10th of May. I communicated with a representive of att and was told that i would have to wait for the promotion which will then be prorated. I been a great att customer who always pay on time ever since i signed up for service. All i want to do is get a new promotion with att so i can enjoy the service i been enjoying for a long time.

When I signed up. They gave me a promotion for a year. I agreed to that and knew my rates would increase. So how is that punishing us.

...by giving the best deals to new customers, while squeezing existing loyal customers for every last dollar.

AT&T treats their established customers like ugly red-headed stepchildren.
They overcharge. Their promotions are gimmicks.
I originally had DSL, which towards the end constantly had problems because they wouldn't maintain their equipment.
They switched me to U-Verse (their decision) and said they would charge me no more than what I had been paying for DSL. This, in true AT&T fashion, was a lie. They bumped my bill up be $30 because "the promotion is over".
Well I hadn't signed up for a "promotion". It was AT&T's decision to switch me to U-Verse and they had said I'd pay the same rate as my old bill, which they seem to have conveniently forgotten in their billing office. Since this is the weekend they don't have anyone working to handle this issue, as it would be too convenient for their customers to be open when we have free time to deal with their lousy service.

Sorry but this is not unlike the offerings credit card companies make, ie: lower interest or NO interest for xxx number of months for new customers. Do you really think they're going to extend that from now until eternity? One can hope but you have to be realistic. If you don't like it, then you are free to move on.
If you have a high credit score, then you can probably get a good rate on that credit card. And with Uverse, if you've been a good customer for a while, you can probably get some sort of deal.
Don't mess with old people. The older we get, the less "Life in Prison" is a deterrent.

Sorry, but comparing any industry to the credit card industry is like comparing an ax murderer to one that kills with a knife. So you proved my point as both credit card companies and AT&T practice dispicable marketing/ billing practices.
Churn is a very large problem in this space and AT&T seems to encourage it. Makes no sense.

Results are the same: You be dead.
But I'm just a dumb old lady...what do I know?
