Returned modem

AT&T charged me for equipment that I returned to USP as directed.  At the time the clerk told me to keep my receipt because AT&T has been charging people for equipment that was returned.  This was in 2019 and I am still getting bills from a collection agency and now they have reported it to Equifax which has affected my credit score.  I have contacted AT&T, the credit company and collection company and they are doing nothing.

You can respond to the credit reporting company with a copy of the receipt as evidence that the charge is bogus.  You can do the same with the collection company, i.e. ask for their evidence that you have a valid debt and if they present the unreturned equipment info, respond with a copy of the receipt.
