when promised a certain bottom line amount for life, am told that would never happen.

I have had horrible customer service experience for months.  First when trying to low my burgeoning bill, was directed from uverse to directv,  After months of unresolved technical issues with technicians traipsing in and out for months and still not resolved, freezing screen mostly, I called uverse and insisted on going back to uverse with good rates.  Direct then tried to charge me almost $300 for leaving early. what? same company, right? finally was removed from my bill, however, when my bill was then raised the next month, I called and started arguing my bill raising.  I spoke with billing, which wanted to give me more programming for an ongoing lifetime amount I refused because I didn't want to spend more money on more programming but appreciated their offer for lifetime pricing.  I then called the rewards program, now writing down names and id's, which serves no purpose because one can never speak with that person again - absolutely ridiculous...  however, this guy Al, gave me a $138 monthly bill, guaranteed, never raised again, no discounts expiring etc.  great.  next month, back to original discounted programming. aarrgh.

 

Many calls later, they tell me that no one can give lifetime programming.  Twice now I was told I could have it,  just craziness.  Asking for Presidents number, I was given 3 numbers that don't work........................... finally today I asked a supervisor in rewards dept. how to  contact president's office for help before I just quit.  I was told to get on line to att.com/contact us and I will see contact the president.  HAH. now what?

I've been an AT&T customer for over 45 years.  I've had Uverse for 10 years, cell phones since it was Cingular and Southwestern Bell all the way back to the 70s.  (Yes, I'm old.)

 

If anyone deserves a LIFETIME DISCOUNT, it's ME!!!!!

Don't mess with old people.  The older we get, the less "Life in Prison" is a deterrent.

Hi skeeterintexas,

 

I also qualify for the a Lifetime Discount...home phone since 1973, wireless since 1990 and UV since early 2010. Keep me in mind when this discount is available! LOL!
