Why is AT&T's package rates nearly double what they have been?
Why is AT&T now saying the best rate they can provide existing customers is nearly double what we have been paying? Pandemic price gouging?

AT&T is no longer selling Uverse. There is no reason to continue to offer 'discounts' to retain customers as they are phasing it out.

Don't mess with old people. The older we get, the less "Life in Prison" is a deterrent.

please look up the definition of price gouging you are paying the same pandemic or not. as stated above uverse is no longer being sold and you got a discounted rate for 12 months and now you pay what everyone else pays, hardly price gouging
While AT&T employees do look at forum posts from time to time, we are here to represent the forum with our experiences as customers and do not represent AT&T in any official capacity with our responses and do so on our own time unpaid and off the clock. As employees we are not rewarded nor compensated to participate in these forums This forum is comprised of regular customers to communicate with other customers to offer advice and share experiences same as any other user Although there is a small team of customer care specialists that monitor the forums the sheer volume of posts are simply too many posts for these agents to respond to each one of them.

Just shift to another service like getting in touch with ATTV streaming cable services or DTV satellite dish.
