6 streams
We had the ability to record or watch up to 6 channels. We switched from Internet 300 to Internet 1000. Now we can only record or watch up to 4 channels. The first tech support rep said he changed the stream capacity setting but it did not work. The second guy said the reason it will not work is because the wrong DVR is on file. He said he could put the correct DVR on file or send us another DVR, but we would lose our recordings. This is what we were told originally when went from 4 to 6 streams a few years ago, but it was wrong. They set us up: 1. without us losing any recordings 2. without sending us a new DVR 3. apparently still having the wrong DVR on file. And they refuse to put us back on Internet 300. How can we get this changed without losing our recordings?

Hello, @Throny,
We want to help you any way we can. With the understanding of Uverse TV streams, customers with AT&T Fiber 1000 and a 1TB Pace DVR should have 6 simultaneous HD streams for recording or live TV.
When you attempt the 5th action, either live TV or new recording, what message are you getting? All TV services are in use? Could there be a box that is still on that no one is watching?
What is your stream profile showing in the receiver? Does it show you on a 6HD/0SD profile?
If it does, try resetting your router. You can press and release the RED Reset button or unplug the power cord for 15 seconds. This may take up to 10 minutes to complete, but once your broadband or service light is solid green, your internet and TV should be ready to use.
Check your available streams; if you still only have 4, restart your DVR.
We also have a recovery process that restores the DVR without losing any recordings.
