all my DVR shows suddenly deleted
I came home yesterday and noticed that all of my previously DVR'd items were gone. I had a bunch of kids shows and movies on there recorded for my son as he gets to watch those as a rare treat and that way I can keep a better eye on what he is watching. I'm really po'd about it.
When i went to scheduled, all the upcoming shows are in there, but everything i had recorded in the past was gone. Space was not an issue.

Hi @alcarbu78
Just checking up on your post. Sorry to hear that your DVR isn't showing the previously recorded content but, I noticed that Robby_ICS offered some helpful advice that may resolve this issue. Are you still experiencing this issue?

If you had any storms in the area, power might have gone out a number of times quickly. If enough, might have gone into a forced disaster recovery.
Luckily mine lost power 6 times over 2 hours while at work, but successfully rebooted each time leaving me segments of a number of programs. 😉

Overnight, all my recorded shows were deleted. No storms, nothing unusual other than for the last week or so, we had to reboot the DVR (Motorola VIP 1225) several times because of sound and related issues. Can the recorded shows be recorded? What caused this?

There seems to be a bug in the latest download causing this to happen, too many users have posted this in the last 2 weeks. 😉

So, I presume, everything lost? Any word about this download that is wreaking havoc? BTW, I did notice a download happening earlier in the evening. By next morning, all was gone...sigh.

Not sure. But it was odd that I saw the gears and then poof all the recorded shows were wiped out. Everything else on the DVR remained OK, including the schedule, etc. Oh well.

The one most users never saw overnite, I got asked as I'm usually up at that time after work. Was a couple of months ago, but problems are showing up now in certain undefined circumstances. 😉
Edit: Also was mentioned by an ATT Uverse Care response in a similar thread, reason I picked it up.

I'm having the same exact problem. Had my box replaced because they thought something was wrong it it. Now the new box is doing it too.
