Att Rip off?
Anyone else have such consistent time consuming issues with service they feel the are being ripped off , stolen from, or conned by ATT? They have never provided consistent service. I spend hours every month on the phone or hosting techs in my home yet I always pay the full bill. How can I get a refund for all the times my services do not work? May I be compensated for the hours I spend troubleshooting and on the phone with Att techs whom I can barely understand? Basically I’m asking how can ATT CHARGE ME FIR SERVICES THEY DO NOT PROVIDE?

Call up, politely threaten to cancel. Explain your issues and they should offer credit.

Thanks and I knew that. Two things 1 ) I’m so exhausted from the long hold times lengthy phone calls ( one hour twenty minutes last time) and angry about all the wasted time on the phone where they require you to reboot receiver and gateway that it’s hard to get up the energy to throw more time away talking to them. Especially when 2) the service is never good but it’s not out completely. The tv freezes every ten minutes or so but it does work. There have been so many issues in last two months I can’t remember them or keep them in order so my attempts to explain when service was not working and for which tv would be impossible. I have a new remote and two new receivers delivered and installed st different times. But thank you for your response.

Hello. Not sure what issues you’re having, perhaps someone here can offer advice.
As to your experience with support, that sounds very familiar to me. I do believe att has an internal system whereby when a customer calls back in for the same issue they are aware of it. At some point you are supposed to get a higher level of support. When the dust settles and the issue is resolved is when I’d ask for credit.
The bad part though is I don’t know but can guess at how much expertise is left on this now EOL product. I’ve heard they still do truck rolls, but unsure if your problem will get that level of help.
