ATT Uverse set top box (DVR)

Looks like my TV DVR unit has failed. Numerous gateway reboots, and attempts to reboot the box (does not respond to holding power button or remote).   How can I get a new one quickly?  Should not require a tech to install, this is just a swap out.

Pull plug on gateway for about 15 secs. to reboot it and after that reboot fully completes pull plug on the dvr for about 15 secs. to reboot it that way.

If @_xyzzy_ advice doesn’t work, call (800) 288-2020 and ask for a new dvr. They may ship one or may require a tech visit.

Thanks.  Tried your advice.  I think the set top box is fried...the power button will not work anymore...it has the green glow ring around it, but it is faint and is flickering....appreciate your advice!!
