Awaiting Uverse-- for TWO months!

In our subdivision, Fiber cable/UVerse is installed to every home but our home is just built and because there was an "empty" ATT box without fiber cabling installed on our lot when vacant which never had fiber run under the street (from the box directly across street), we cannot seem to get it understood we need CONSTRUCTION crew BEFORE installer can connect service for us!! We have made so many calls ro ATT, we sound like a recording, i.e, "...there are TWO steps to us getting Uverse: 1) fiber under street from main box in front of house per installer 2) only THEN can installer do HIS part.BUT step 2 is the only response we get which has come to home many times."

WHY is it so difficult to get constriction crew here AND what can we do to get this done. Even the installer has been on phone with customer service while here each time.

We are reminded Direcrv is an option for tv. We do not want Directv. Additionally, we would still need Fiber for internet (duhh!).

Sorry for the delay getting service to your home. In situations like this, it can take time to place a line as our crews are working in other areas of the city. Unfortunately they have to work each project in the order they have been placed. 

 

Has an order already been created and are  you just waiting for the line to be placed?
