No. The VEN401 was the first generation WAP and I will not work with the second generation wireless receivers like the VIP 2500. Ideally you would have a VAP2500 as your WAP.

There are quite a few things that AT&T Support needs to be told. Many of them they have been.

@Trixiedog
Are they categorically telling you they won’t send you the VAP2500?

NO, they are sending an ATT repairman Monday to check on the problem.

2nd gen WAPs are the 501 and the 2500... needed for the 7105 or 2500 wireless receivers.
2nd gen WAPs are also required for more than 2 wireless receivers as the 401 (taco shell design) only supported up to 2 units.
As UVERSE IPTV has not been offered since March 1 2020, I suspect most call center employees do not handle a lot of IPTV questions. No idea how their scripts are written... or if they are even in an area where UVERSE IPTV was offered... Arizona call center(s) are not ATT UVERSE footprint, nor are the out of the country call centers including Canadian city WINDSOR across the river from Detroit...

The ATT repairman had another ISB7005 receiver to work with our VEN401, He didn't know this VEN401 wouldn't work with a VIP2500. He told me they didn't give them any WAP to change out.
