Can't record GOT as series

So they are showing Game of Thrones marathon soon on HBO. So the When I search the series, it shows all episodes and all seasons as upcoming but when I record the series,

only the first episode shows up in the upcoming recording list. I can manually record each episode but I don't want to do that. I want them all to be under the same heading instead each one on one line.

I have plenty of space on my DVR so it should not be an issue.

Anything I can do to fix this?

I tried your search. Sorry, I don not see any GOT marathon you can record as a series.  All I see is a "marathon" in On Demand.  If you don't have a subscription to HBO only S01E01 is free and no On Demand shows can be recorded so I don't even know how you got even one scheduled for recording.

Don't know why that doesn't show up in my search.  And I can't verify your problem since I don't subscribe to any movie or premium channels.

Just to be clear, it's "a full season per day".  So it starts around 11:00am and ends around 8:00pm.  So that's not technically a marathon.

According to the announcement on Twitter, fans will be able to watch a full season per day from Dec. 26 to Dec. 31 on HBO2.

Out of curiosity can those episodes even be individually recorded in the first place?  When I was checking On Demand it would let me view episode 1 even though I don't have an HBO subscription.  And in the days I used to view some stuff during promo days (don't bother any more) I stumbled upon certain movies that weren't permitted to be recorded.  It's been some years since I gave up on those promos but it does show the ability is there for certain stuff to be prohibited from recording even if you can view it.  So that's why I ask if those episodes can be explicitly recorded even with a subscription.  HBO certainly wants to squeeze and milk every cent out of GOT they can so I wouldn't put it past them to do this kind of thing.  Given what it costs (heard something like 100 million dollars for the last season coming up in April) I wouldn't put it past them to encourage you to buy the DVDs or blu-rays if you want to keep the recordings.

Just a theory.

I didn't think you could record any On Demand shows.

You can record each one individually. When I set to record the series, it shows 67 upcoming episodes but then you only get one episode scheduled to record and not everything.

@skeeterintexas - you cannot record anything on On Deman as far as I know.  What I side On Demand lets me watch episode 1 even though I am not a HBO subscriber.  And I've seen instances in promos were I couldn't record a movie but would let me watch it.

As for the post above, I don't even know where that left display comes from! Man Surprised  I've never seen such a display from search or anywhere else.  My search only says "On Demand" or "TV Series" or all titles matching the search string. It doesn't distinguish TV Series by channel.  I've never seen a selection where it lists the choices complete with channel numbers.  It's either that or my old brain is shorting out at the moment!Man Frustrated

As I said previously every one of my search results for game of thrones lists as "On Demand", none on the actual HBO channels.  It's either because I am not subscribed to those channels (even though they are not hidden in my guide list) or for some other reason.  But in previous searches for other stuff over the years for stuff I can receive in my package I do not recall ever seeing the screen displayed that you show on the left.  Maybe it was due to the kinds of things I was searching for, it's not that I every used search that much anyhow.  So I don't know how you get that.

Just accept that it is what it is and won't be fixed any time soon, and probably never.  If it was to be fixed I wouldn't expect it to be fixed at a minimum before the airing of those shows given the time or year.  And even after because they haven't fixed some more blatant bugs (or bug) since the last significant change more than 2 years ago now, I wouldn't wait for yours to be fixed ever assuming it is a bug (but at least try rebooting your gateway and dvr).
