downgraded to basic

We just down graded to basic. Don't really want to pay the $15 DVR monthly charge. If I turn it off, can we still pause live TV?

I believe No. The circuit that makes it work is part of the recording.

When you first change channels the new signal is processed without the recording circuit. Press pause immediadly after chnaging channel & you will probably get a message that it is not available.

That is how it works when the DVR ciruit is not available.

You need a DVR to FF, RW and pause live TV.

Sorry skeeter, that is a sales pitch for whole house DVR dated 2011. It does say you need the U-verse DVR. The one not needed is your own.

If I down grade to basic can I still have my DVR? And when does that reduction in monthly payment happen?
