DVR did not record Major Crimes on 10/31

Way back then?  I can think of three possibilities...

1. You scheduled it as a series record with "first run only".   There are no new first run Major Crimes episodes and those episodes were not first run so it didn't record.
2. The episodes were bumped due to some sports event. 
3. Your dvr ran out of space sometime after you recorded it and you had marked the recordings to "keep all episodes until space is needed".

As for the "On Demand" stuff.  Well that library is incomplete for a lot of shows.  You might want to google for a streaming site that shows it or even check the TNT site itself.
