DVR offers "on demand" only when I try to record current TV shows
I've tried several times to set up recording of "Agent Carter" but instead of the screen offering "by date" "Series record" etc., I get sent to "On Demand"
I don't want "On Demand" though, I want to record these on my DVR. Is this a deliberate ploy to make me watch on demand?
I've tried rebooting, which fixed my other problem (the dvr said it was full when it wasn't), but I can't get anywhere with this issue.
Any ideas would be much appreciated!

My first thought was that the search is returning both TV episodes and on demand & you are inadvertantly selecting on demand.
This is a poor design. It is confusing. It is nice to include as many possiblities as possible, but it makes a mess. It should, allow you to choose, up front, TV, On-demand or both & make one of those a default to eliminate selection each time.
So, I did a search on Agent Carter & every line returned is on-demand. There are TV showings??
Do you know a time/channel that is live? If you can come up with one, @foxmulder777 may be able to persue.

I've noticed that some searches will show on demand titles first. Have you tried the arrow down button to see if there are more options for additional channels? Just trying to see if that might be what's happening.

Solved!
"Agent Carter" is listed as a TV Show but takes you to an On Demand screen.
If you look for "Marvel's Agent Carter" you get that listed as TV Show but now it lets you record. Not sure why it works that way, but I can live with it!
Thanks for the suggestion to look for the actual broadcast time - that's when I saw the alternate name.

If Search returns 2 or more TV Series for a program, one is usually for Live TV and the other for ON Demand.
Have to check both to see if one is Live TV, both could be On Demand if Live TV is not listed for the 2 week Guide.
I find it's quicker to check the Guide for a specific program on a specific channel. I just went to 1007 WXYZ HD ABC, here in metro Detroit, started scrolling day to day in prime time and found Marvel's Agent Carter Tue 9pm EST.
Once there can record the program or record the series. 😉
Edit: Searching MARVEL here only brought up the Live TV episodes on ABC, no On Demand listings.
Checked ABC HD VOD and found it listed just as Agent Carter, why it didn't come up searching MARVEL.
