DVR Receiver Receives Signal After Other Receiver

My DVR Receiver Receives the Signal After Other Receiver.  It has a longer coax run.

Is there a way to boost the speed of signal over coax from the modem or with some device after the modem?

@patrickhurley

Your problem is unclear.  Typically the issues here are that the service fails to work in some way.  Is the DVR working or not?

As for coax, I’d think about finding a solution that replaces coax with Ethernet.

Your perception of delayed signal to the DVR vs the other receivers is not likely related to the medium through which it is attached.  Though I wouldn't argue about switching the DVR's connection from coax/HPNA to twisted pair/Ethernet, having done so myself.

We are here to help you with your DVR, @.

Thank you to the aces for the useful information.

As they stated, we suggest that you switch your connection for the receiver to an ethernet cord. This will improve the speed and the delayed reaction.

Just to clarify, we have one question.

Is your receiver plugged into an outlet or a surge protector? This may cause the intermittent signal, and the loss of service.

Let us know if this helps.
