Many things can cause missing recordings, like surge protectors or power strips or even hardware related issues like a bad hard drive. If you can, we do recommend plugging your DVR directly in to a wall outlet to help prevent missing recordings in the future.
In the meantime, here are a few steps to try and get your missing recordings back:
Restart the DVR: press and hold the power button for 10 seconds. Then release and press again to begin the restart. This can take 5-8 minutes to complete.

These steps should help restore any missing recordings, but do keep in mind, anything that may have been deleted cannot be recovered.

No one is able to explain losing multiple recordings with four different boxes over 10 days att uverse
